What Does it Mean to be a Freelancer?

A freelancer is a person who works for themself. The person is considered to be self-employed and contracts their services to a company. Freelance is growing in popularity; more and more companies are using freelancers and are used in various professions. A freelancer can work for more than one company at a time. Becoming a freelancer is an easy, low cost way to start working for yourself. If you need or want a more flexible schedule and to have the ability to work from home on your own terms then freelancing could be for you.

What is a Telecommute Job?

 

You may hear people use the phrase telecommute when referring to employment, but do you truly know what it means? Telecommute is just another word for work at home jobs. When listing open positions, many companies will refer to their work at home positions as telecommute jobs. This means you are able to work for a company from the comfort of your own home. This is more than a freelance position. You will be a W2 employee and perform job duties as you would if you were working at the actual office. Many well-known companies have telecommute jobs, it saves the companies money plus employees are more productive. Examples of companies that you will be able to find a telecommute job are Apple, UHaul, Humana, just to name a few. There are 1000’s of companies that offer some type of telecommute position.
